A nice private campground and cabins on the shores of Lake Almanor, but only two miles from the center of Chester with its dining establishments.

If you like hiking, but you also like creature comforts in a excellent scenic setting, North Shore is a fine choice.  Highway noise mostly limited to the western campsites.

It is close to many of the trailheads for Caribou Wilderness and southern Lassen National Park, and features hot showers, camping, trailer hookups, lake views, and cabins.
